Quick, hide my credit card!

Why is it that I've been drooling over these "no international shipping" or $13 shipping online stores when I could've had my eyes set on ASOS?  With thousands of styles and free shipping with no minimum order, so begins another one of my never ending quests to find that perfect item that I can claim as a steal.  Another aspect that I love is the variety of brands and styles that it offers.  From preppy American Apparel blouses to French Connection sophistication to Nike activewear, ASOS has you covered.

Personally, I'm still in that experimental stage of fashion where I'm trying to determine what trend is 'me'.  I've gone with casual, preppy, urban, business casual, and eclectic...and probably a few more that I don't even know how to define.  But there's always two styles that I've been meaning to try but cannot seem to get a my hands on the right items (or I just can't pull them off)- vintage and romantic.

I had a dream the other night. I kid you not, I dreamed that I found the perfect pink lace dress to satisfy both those styles.  Fast-forward to today as I'm on the ASOS site, and what do I see? A pink floral lace dress. Alas, as my luck would have it, there's none left in my size.

No dream for this one, but I've been looking for something like it.  This shirt has a lovely touch of professional femininity with small ruffle detailing and of course, the bow.  A part of my issue isn't that I can't find these pieces (since look, I found it!), but that they're not in my price range.  As many of you might know, I'm a fan of affordable fashion.  I'm one of those who would rather buy 5 shirts at $20 each than to buy one designer shirt for $100.  And this, well...let's just say that I don't think my entire outfit today costs that much.

In other news, I finally have something up on my 'Music Muncies' page! It's just a small something, but it's a start.  I'm also wildly excited to be covering the Ottawa Fashion Week model fitting on Saturday.  I'll also be trying my hand at photography with the help of Isabel Tang and her SLR.  I'll be sure to have pictures up from that! Now my current dilemma still remains: what does one wear to cover a model fitting??

  2. You and I are the same on affordable fashion. I was raised kinda thrifty so I'm still this way! I do occasionally justify the purchase of mildly expensive things though (still haven't splurged on extravagant designer products yet.)

Aside, I absolutely need a feminine ruffled blouse like the one you showed in this post--hopefully in chiffon material. Been looking for an good cheap one for a long time!
