Pseudo pajama trend

I have two problems with the so-called emerging pajama trend where streetwear clothes are modelled after the comfy materials and classic stripes of pajamas.  Firstly, no matter how you slice it- dude, you're wearing pajamas in public.  And secondly, I don't actually own pajamas.  I do, however, own a tunic that was just so darn comfy, I turned it into a pajama dress.  Then one day, I rolled out of bed and felt too lazy to get dressed.  Add a belt and some shoes, and bam- it's an outfit!  Now that I occasionally don't have to worry about taking time to put together an outfit and change, I can focus on more important things...like pressing the snooze button one more time.

  1. i don't personally want to wear clothing that looks like pjs, but i also don't find pjs flattering. i also wear mens boxers to bed, so that could be part of it too. i would never guess that this is something you would sleep in - obviously you look good even when you sleep! i wear normal tees and stuff to bed as well and don't really own specific pajamas like that. anyhowww i love the yellow scarf and how you can make something simple look awesome

  2. The fact that you are "technically" wearing PJ's with freaking hot heels just blows my mined. I never would have know that wasn't a legitimate dress if you hadn't said anything-you absolutely rock it!

  3. No one can really tell that your dress is really sleepwear. Wow. With a few added accessories and it becomes something totally different. I love the yellow scarf too. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  11. I knowww, I was quite disappointed at first, but then it wasn't so bad. I've only ordered clothes online when it's been with given credit. I usually order books and jewellery though (amazon or ebay). I like this outfit. I've found it hard to adjust to the pj trend, but I think it looks great on some people (not me!)

  27. hahaha i laughed at your post - i totally understand how you feel about the pj trend. when i see it in stores i'm just like: dude, these are seriously just pjs... am i expected to wear this out?
the tiedye on your dress keeps it from looking too pj-ey. it looks super comfortable though! win.
