Two deadly sins

Just to set the record straight, leggings are leggings, even if they do have a spiffy pattern on them.  When I wear these, I'm not trying to say that I'm trying to be a super trendsetter or anything like that.  Well okay, that's not my initial attempt. Just like any one else that wears plain black leggings, my choice is usually fuelled by comfort, gluttony, and slothery.

What these bottoms really say when I wear them is that:
-They're comfy and I'm lazy.
-I don't own plain leggings, so these will have to do.
-I haven't given up on life enough to wear sweat pants in public yet.
-I'm having a huge feast today and need all the expansion space I can get.

What I'm wearing:
-Tribal leggings from SwayChic.com
-Black fitted blazer
-Navy blouse
-Suede tassel heels

Just kidding, right?

In my exciting and glamorous life today, I went to the dentist. And there was a newbie there today assisting, which was fine. That is, until she gave the dentist the wrong tooth cleaning chemical and muttered, "Oops, sorry I didn't know". Oops? Woman, please do not say that in front of an already nervous patient. At least just nod and don't make it seem like you don't know what you're doing!  Since I couldn't say anything, I tried to give her my "Seriously? Are you kidding?!" stare, but it's probably a lot less effective when my mouth is open and filled with cotton balls and dental tools.

What I'm wearing:
-Teal jeans from Joe Fresh
-Cream knit sweater
-Leopard booties

Sweets

I'm getting ready for tomorrow's festivities! Aka. I don't know why I bother picking out pops of pink and shimmer when guys don't notice details anyway.

Personally, I'm looking forward to February 15 instead.  Or as I like to call it, "Cheap Leftover Valentine's Day Candy Day".  Then, I can buy more candy blocks and gummy bears to build a gummy bear city being attacked by a Gummybearzilla. No, I don't have too much time on my hands...just a really awesome imagination.

How to: Dress for Valentine's Day

Well folks, it's that time of the year again.  That time where we get to laugh at people who think it's cute to dress like a walking Valentine's Day card.  So as my favour to society, I would like to propose a little guide on how you can avoid looking tacky around the day:

1.)  Stick to one colour.  Please, stop wearing pink shirts with red cardigans and white pants.

2.)  Add a little pop.  Try colour in small doses...lipstick, a bag, etc.  Be like the cherry-filled chocolate: it's mainly another colour with just a gooey touch of red.

3.)  Give the hearts a break.  Similar to the colour policy, if you're gonna wear hearts, keep it down to one heart accessory.  Don't be a Christmas tree of hearts.

4.)  Go with a romantic theme.  To avoid being blatantly Valentine's-y, include romantic-style attire instead.  Y'know, lace, neutrals, sheers, and such.

Alright love birds, I hope you get the the fashion picture, now go prance along in your cheer as I celebrate next Friday with discounted candies. Actually, that'll probably make me prance along in cheerfulness too. Hourray for cheap sweets!
