Cold shoulder

I'm really liking this big comfy sweater, especially with shorts. Though as I was walking, I found myself in a bit of a predicament. My sweater had become untucked from my shorts so it made it look like I was wearing no pants. So as I was walking through campus, I was debating on which option was the lesser evil: walking around looking like I have no pants, or tucking my sweater in, which kind of requires me to stick my hand in my shorts to adjust the tuck properly. I eventually decided to keep my shirt untucked, but did the "yeah, I'm so cool, I'm walking with my hand in my pocket" strut to make my shorts visible at the least.

Masculine feminine

So I got dressed up for dinner and even wore a leather tie to be fancy. Unfortunately, the fine Italian place we went to turned out to be a little pizza parlour kinda thing that was so fancy, they just give you a soda and a cup and force you to pour your own drink like a caveman. It's a good thing I was wearing combat boots to make myself fit into the casual crowd a bit more. Then again, it probably didn't matter what I was wearing because wolfing down an entire pizza with my hands pretty much speaks for itself.

Suspension

It's been nice weather lately so I've been driving with the windows down. I have a quirky habit of turning my music down when I'm stopped next to someone. Why?  Because I have an irrational fear of people judging me based on my music choice. Especially when I'm listening to the radio and a terrible one-hit wonder pop song comes on. I think my fear stems from my experience in a library once. I was studying with my headphones on in the library for a good half hour. Then the security guard came by and told me to turn down my music. Turns out my headphones weren't plugged in properly and my 90s pop playlist was actually blaring. Ohh, the embarrassment. I now have a fear of my own loud music. And libraries.

Metal flowers

The weather's been crazy this week between freak heat waves and cold spells the next day. So I've been trying to clinging onto summery fabrics and patterns for as long as I can. I don't really want to admit that it's leather weather yet, so for now, the leather touches on my blazer will do. I'm really big on contrasts this season. Like dainty florals and harsh metals, or eating cake and chips at the same time. You really just can't go wrong.

Criss-cross

I don't think I've ever created such a perfect ponytail on myself. Ponytails are usually the lazy hairstyle that people do when they're having a bad hair day, but this isn't the case for me. I swear that my head is weirdly shaped or something because I can never just throw my hair into a ponytail. It takes me forever, and even then, I usually have flyaway or uneven bumps. Which is why I'm glad that the whole "messy bun" thing is in style, because I usually put a lot of emphasis on the "messy".

A new road

It was my first day of starting post post-secondary education today. And I'm a bit ashamed to admit, but as I met new people, I had a Mean Girls-esque monologue going through my head. I'm in web design, and I swear that there are the most stereotypical characters in my program. You've got the underachievers, the guys who don't see the light of day, girls who only dress in hoodies, hipster artists, balding man who lives with his mom, people who won't get off their high horse, and the greatest person you will ever meet (obviously me). Though I might also be known as "girl who wore heels when everyone else was in flip flops and sneakers".
