Beware of poison ivy

In a suburban neighbourhood with rows of houses and cars tucked into their driveways, I wouldn't have expected to find this country-esque setting within a bustling city.  With wild weeds, a fresh rainfall, and a gentle breeze, I was more than pleased to find this area that transported me away from the city I knew- far away to a place with endless fields of greenery and nature at my doorstep.

I've admired the beautiful photos that other bloggers take of running in fields or reflecting in a serene meadow.  I figured that this was the closest I'd get to this kind of a setting, so I wanted to try something similar.  Just as I exclaimed that I wanted to frolic among the foliage and prepared to step into the weeds, my observant sister (aka. photographer) quickly pointed out the sign overhead that warned of poison ivy. Now that could've been a very bad situation.

What I'm wearing:
-Floppy white hat
-(belted) Crop top from Forever 21
-Long white skirt I hiked up to look short
-Leopard heels borrowed from mom's closet
