Ice crystals

The prophets and panic that said that the world was gonna end in 2012 were wrong. But they came close. Instead, late 2013 and this bit into 2014 has brought us the polar vortex of bitter cold, snowstorms, and freezing rain. Gotta say that it was kinda cool being in a post-apocalyptic kind of scene with ice covering everything and signs of power outages everywhere. So I've been drawing inspiration from the look of gleaming ice and soft blues lately in the form of sparkly nail polish and jewellery that catches the light.

  8. Sabrina,
So loving this post! I agree the winter ice can be so beautifully dazzling and a great inspiration. Love the jewelry that you featured afterwards. I love a good shot of bling, in mother nature or on my wrist or neck...

  10. Wow... The frost on the branches is really beautiful. A consolation for the otherwise freezing cold perhaps? I hope that the first week of 2014 has been treating you well!

  16. I love the integration of those beautiful winter scenes of icicles and snowy trees with those gorgeous jewelry-- very clever! Those hoops earrings at the bottom are incredible; while I haven't worn hoops in forever, I would wear those in a heartbeat!

  20. WOW. These pictures are just SO gorgeous! I must admit that I'm a little jealous of you for being able to live in a place where it snows! I wish so bad that it would snow where I live - unfortunately it doesn't! I think that snow turns everything so beautiful and magical! :)
